    Just date your shop channel and download it. You'll be fine. The new channel is much slower though. I don't know why it was updated.

    You would need to create Java Runtime Environment for the Wii (no easy task). Also minecraft runs like poo even on a decent computer, I think it would kill a wii. Edit: I guess there is an open source version of Java now (OpenJDK), so get porting.

    Did you try updating the firmware? I would do that, before you somehow get back on 4.3 and have this whole problem again.

    Code dumps when I try to open my HDD. Sticking with 1.1.1. Seems about every 3rd or so release is actually usable. (Differs for users)
