    Everything appears in English for me, no Japanese at all in save/load screens.

    That's right. I don't know why some people are having troubles with the patch, everything has been working perfectly for me. It seems that each PSP is a whole different world :D

    I have a PSP too and it looks good to me without any extra modification. Maybe there is more to it, perhaps the software system version has something to do too.
