    I don't think the 3DS will be able to be hacked using a flashcard. I think the hacking will be done wii style and be based on exploits and softmodding. Homebrew apps executed from SD card, SD card game loading etc.

    Looks like Nintendo's getting desperate with their loss of profits... Region Locking a portable system is just more than dumb. I can't wait until someone finds out how to hack the 3DS to make it region free.

    NEWS FLASH! I just got it working by region freeing the wii using priiloader! but I still don't get it... anyway, THANK YOU IGGLOOVORTEX! though I still would like to know why... anyone has any ideas? I mean, my wii WAS USA with USA games and was working before, and the system said 4.3U.

    I have an idea but I'm not sure it's right. maybe my system menu IOS isn't getting permision to load discs or something. just an idea.

    yup. All retails are NTSC bought from best buy and were working earlier before my wii got modded.

    no it's not region changed (most likely). I bought it in the US, and it was virgin when I bought it. I'm on a 3 month vacation. I've had it repaired by nintendo before so it wasn't tampered with either.

    one more thing to add, (sorry for tri-posting) the person who modded my wii said something about downgrading in order for it to work. (I'm in china so my parrents had to translate best they could) but I'm not sure if he means firmware, wii menu, IOS or what.

    oh and I installed a clean MIOS v10 using ModMii. nothing different happened (disc channel still couldn't read discs) so I just reinstalled your cMIOS.

    that's preaty much how it went down. when I try to load a retail game (wii and GC) via Disc Channel, it spits out the old "unable to read disc" error.
