Might be a little late but for anyone experiencing exceptional error on boot by installing a corrupted theme with Anemone:
Possible Solution 1:
delete folder: Nintendo 3DS/<ID0>/<ID1>/extdata/00000000/000002ce
(ce for europe).
Its the folder, the 3ds boots installed themes from.
