    Well I went to exchange it yesterday and told them that and they let me exchange it, and while I admit that it's probably dust from the assembly not all of them should be that way, since the new one that I got was dust free.

    Very off topic but I feel like I should give it a shot I bought my 3DS XL 2 days ago at Fry's Electronics, it's 4.5 but I'm very OCD, there were dust in the cart slot, and AC port, basically I didn't like it and want to exchange it for another 3ds xl... What reasons can I give them?

    When all the remaining stuff gets shipped to me I'll end up with my 4.5 3DS XL, 4GB SD card that came with it, Gateway, 16gb class 10 microSD with SD adapter, and my laptop's SD card slot. This will be enough to get the magic working right?

    if a 3DS is lower than 4.1, you're gonna have to buy a game with update 4.1-4.5 on it and update with it.

    I know I just need to look at the serial number and make sure it's SW12XXXXXX X, but there have been reports on the wiki that some SW12 weren't really 4.1-4.5, oh well, I'll see how it goes, it'll probably be 4.5.
