    Homebrew NSUI 3DS ERROR! "RESULT_ERROR_DURING_PROCESS"

Hi guys, apologies for the necro, but I've been dealing with this problem too. Finally got the v.28 beta to actually make a GBA inject instead of erroring with the RESULT_ERROR_DURING_PROCESS error. Someone here mentioned installing the VCRedist2013, so I reinstalled that first, just to make...

Homebrew Emulation GameYob, a gameboy emulator for DS

Well, that's weird, as the timestamps for gameyob in the twilightmenu archive (this is before extraction) are showing from this year (sept 2024). I'm curious where you are looking to have got a date from oct 2020. Not trying to argue, just trying to get on teh same page in case I'm wildly off...

Homebrew Emulation GameYob, a gameboy emulator for DS

Oh, Hi there RocketRobz! Two things: 1.) Just wanted to say thanks for Twilightmenu, I've gotten a heck of a kick out of it on my DS Phat. I've gotten more mileage out of my DS in the past two years than I did in the past decade, so kudos. :D 2.) The fork on DS-homebrew seems to be a fork of...

Homebrew Emulation GameYob, a gameboy emulator for DS

Alright, so just tested the official 0.5.2 build, seems the sound timing issues are not there compared to your build. This is being done with Wait for Vblank set to off -- on your build, setting it on seems to introduce some extra throttling that seems to keep the sound speed in check at the...

Homebrew Emulation GameYob, a gameboy emulator for DS

The Infinity I'm talking about is the one that came out recently, and does exist as either a bespoke gbc cart or a gb rom you can buy/download from them. Admittedly I haven't checked against the official 0.5.2 build. I'll try it out when I find time

Homebrew Emulation GameYob, a gameboy emulator for DS

Well, fair enough if its so trivial a fork would be overkill. Out of curiousity, would just making a (forgive me if I've got the github terminology wrong), pull request with the changes to the main repo would be more appropriate for this sort of thing?

On a similar vein, 4d1xlaan -- are you able to or have you already put your build's source up somewhere (github, etc.) so that your, er, fork could be tracked for sake of not losing a what's frankly a pretty decent one-off fix to time / dead links?

Homebrew Emulation GameYob, a gameboy emulator for DS

I remember there was some hotfix branch on the 0.5.2 github that may have included newer code, but I don't recall if that got then merged into the main 5.2 branch or if one still needs to clone .5.2, pull the changes from the hotfix branch, then compile to get whatever's in Twilightmenu's build...

Homebrew Emulation GameYob, a gameboy emulator for DS

Hey there. While this does get the GBC mode working from twilight menu (Thanks, this was causing all sorts of confusion since I keep thinking I somehow had the settings wrong, LOL), I've noticed that sound timing is now unstable compared to the current stock release included with the latest...

Linux mint, installed amd drivers now blue screen

Actually, the community has more love for AMD than nVidia -- default open source AMDGPU driver module the community developed is like 99% as fast as the proprietary driver made by AMD themselves. Its not really worth the hassle to install the proprietary driver on AMD, the open source one just...

    Homebrew Can't Read MicroSD Card

True, windows' own formating options usually don't let you do that (though I've actually seen it offer it on some of my own 32gb cards....but that was at least a few years ago). Other programs in windows can, however. Guiformat was mentioned as one. Heck, Wii Backup Manager should be able to...

    Homebrew Can't Read MicroSD Card

Bah, Windows must've gotten its foot stuck in your card (happens sometimes.....its not exactly a smart OS.....), and removing caused it to lose its mind. Did it Blue-Screen? Either way, restart computer put card back in, fire up guiformat again. See if you can get anywhere with that.

    Homebrew Can't Read MicroSD Card

Remember, there are no stupid questions, as we all have to start somewhere. :) Now, you'd be surprised at the formatting situation sometimes. For 64gb cards, windows tends to INSIST it be formated as "NTFS" or "ExFAT" by default, so if you just rapidly went through the menus it would end up as...

    Homebrew Can't Read MicroSD Card

Could be some dust on either the sd card or the 3ds connectors. OR....you've formatted the card wrong. It needs to be formated as FAT32 with (preferably) 32kb cluster size. Either way, its good you've copied contents to your PC. This lets you have options if the card is indeed dying. Even...

Hardware Weird touchscreen issue with a newly brought 3DS XL (latest CFW and OFW)

Weird, then. Usually a touch screen being both unresponsive AND reacting to spurious random phantom clicks usually points to an uncalibrated screen. I would say that the issue persisting after a calibration points to bad hardware (dying touch sensor/screen), though I would defer to someone...
