    I'm on 4.2 and Tetris Party Deluxe is showing a system update in the disc channel, so i think that has 4.3 on it.

    Seems to be working great loading from a disc through the disc channel with vki's new dol patch. I'm on 4.2U D2Ckey Truncha IOS53 looks like vki figured out how to patch the dol so that it's compatible with the D2Ckey. GREAT WORK! edit: I've been playing now for over 30 minutes. no DRE's...

    Can you be more specific? what error are you getting and what is the "everything" you have done? and how are you trying to run the backup? do you have a chip? if so, which one? etc etc

    This seems to work for every chip but the D2Ckey. I'm still waiting to hear of anyone successfully running the game from the disc with that chip.

    From what I've read that's untrue. I haven't read anywhere that there are any issues with the retail disc under any circumstances. Where have you read that retail discs and drive chips don't play nice with each other?

    Has anyone gotten this to successfully work with a D2Ckey? I guess I don't understand how drive chips work, but shouldn't the main.dol fix work for all drive chips since that fix removes the copy protection? Maybe I'm just having a hard time coming to terms with the idea that the D2Ckey is...

    I have a D2Ckey and I cannot get this to work. I used DopIOS and patched IOS53 and 70 like the first page in this thread suggested. I see the game in the disc channel but when I hit start it just goes to a black screen. any ideas?

    It might be easier to get it working if you used the NTSC release if you're running 4.2U. like effbee said earlier, the 4.2 update kills the region-free features on many mod-chips so you might run into trouble trying to run the PAL release.
