    I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but due to the way the WiiU works you wont be able to plug any odd USB drive in and read from it as you would a WiiU formatted one. If you have ISO files on the usb drive I believe nintendont by its self will be able to read from a usb drive, but thats beyond...
