    okay then, I didn't have the normal cable on the original wii just the Y cable, and I just checked and yep it still works on my PC. Yeah I think the drive is borked, this sucks

    It's the same partition table, I thought that was the problem initially before discovering how weak the power in the USB ports are. If you have any replacement internal 2.5" drive suggestions I'm all ears, or I'll even consider getting a 3.5" enclosure and a new drive if I have to. Thanks
