Hacking 32GB sd can limit - looking for help in troubleshooting

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately it's true, the Switch originally could not utilize SDXC cards, which are higher capacity (64GB+). It was only compatible with SDHC cards (32GB max). I did find a thread discussing "the update" which allowed for SDXC use...

Hacking 32GB sd can limit - looking for help in troubleshooting

This is what I've read too. A curse and a blessing? A curse if I hold out for several years and no benefit materializes. lol auto Correct. It is a launch-day unit. Never been online. Fuse count of 1.

Hacking 32GB sd can limit - looking for help in troubleshooting

I have a 128GB Samsung EVO SDXC card. When prepped properly with guiformat my switch shows a boot.dat? screen (SXOS). I should note that I copied, file for file, from my working micro SDHC card. auto I did select this awhile back, I believe. However, I thought that was only for exFAT...

Hacking 32GB sd can limit - looking for help in troubleshooting

So I'm happily running emunand (on micro SD) at 9.1.0. My sysnand is still at 1.0. Unfortunately, I am still unable to use anything larger than a 32GB SDHC memory card. That also includes not being able to use SDXC cards at all. I had thought I would've received the update to use larger...

Hacking need help in updating Switch 1.0.0

No, I'm using emunand... I just don't have it on my sd card. I have it sharing the 32 gigs of internal sysnand. I didn't want to put it to sd because I didn't want to lose that much space on my card. I'm happily able to load emunand (6.0.1) and play my backups. However.... I'm stuck using this...

Hacking need help in updating Switch 1.0.0

Yeah, definitely do not have emunand on my sd card, so that shouldn't be an issue. I'm currenlty using SD OS 2.5.3. Funny you mention that, I had to originally use 2.0.1 as I needed a version compatible with OFW 1.0.0. Once I upgrade to 6.0.1 I was able to start using SX 2.5.3 without issue...

Hacking need help in updating Switch 1.0.0

I tried that earlier, to no avail. I just tried it again (to be sure) and, once again, I get the boot.dat? red error screen. Is there a special sector size I need to set? I set it for 32MB sectors (which was the default). I think someone also mentioned letting the switch format it.... but...

Hacking need help in updating Switch 1.0.0

I've copied over my working file structure from my 32GB SDHC card... so should be apples to apples. Really, there's no fancy file structure. Just boot.dat and the license file in the root directory and it should work, right? auto I had installed 6.0.1 without exfat but just this morning I...

Hacking need help in updating Switch 1.0.0

I've tried that... several times now. Each time I end up with the SX OS red screen which says "BOOT.dat?". I'm using Ease US Partition Master to create the 128GB fat32 partition. Is there a different piece of software I should be using for setting up the card, perhaps? All things remaining...

Best site to buy SX OS License via Credit Card

I also bought from ModChipsDirect. I honestly went with this option because it was the first reseller I found which used https. I'm honestly flabbergasted that there are businesses accepting CC's via http as this is a violation of PCI DSS.

Hacking need help in updating Switch 1.0.0

Thanks very much for the help, you and everyone else that contributed to this thread. I have successfully updated emunand to 6.0.1, sysnand still at 1.0.0. :) I did this using SX OS 2.0.1 (closest version I could get to what was recommended). The last problem that's really got my goat is...

Hacking need help in updating Switch 1.0.0

I have an SX Pro and can successfully enter RCM mode. I've placed the boot.bin in the root of my SD card (2.5.3). I have performed a full NAND back. Once completed I registered my switch and received a license.dat file from TX. However, when I copy that file to the root of my card and boot (auto...

Hacking SWITCH NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

When you say "the guide" are you referring to this? This one does specifically call out that you need a 32GB card. I read somewhere else that a full NAND backup was 29.something GB. I guess I'm not entirely certain how I back that up to an 8 or 16GB card. Would you mind elaborating a little? Thanks!

Hacking SWITCH NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

Hi everyone, I've got a conundrum that I'm sure someone has already encountered. I bought a switch off a friend recently. Never been online, 1.0.0 vanilla. I picked up an SX Pro and have tested it (works fine). My problem is that I do not have a 32GB SDHC micro sd card. I've got some 8's, 16's...
