Hardware Tutorial Using NAND-AID to repair a broken eMMC (fix 160-0103 system memory error)

Ok i have a question. If i boot the Wii U without the SD card in the front slot it "just" boots the Wii U menu, without ISFSHax or anything. Is this normal behaviour and can i just leave it like that? I would expect to need the SD card in the front slot Ok nevermind lol. I wasn't thinking

This is D0. I filmed it for you. This was when pressing Erase MLC in minute. 1728214129 Ok so i removed the micro sd card slot. Cleaned up everything. Soldered in a new micro sd card slot, and it worked. So i don't know what was going on with the old slot, but the fault was in the slot...

Hardware Tutorial Using NAND-AID to repair a broken eMMC (fix 160-0103 system memory error)

I removed the weird measuring resistor and just put in some 0.1 mm copper wire. So this is whats currently going on. Apart from CK being pulled to ground nothing is shorted together or to the GND or 3.3V. I can measure D0 to D3 from the resistor (NAND side) all the way to the SD card port. CM...

Hardware Tutorial Using NAND-AID to repair a broken eMMC (fix 160-0103 system memory error)

Thanks for the reply. I have measured everything with my scope. The line in R26 as cut properly. Seems like is used the v2 gerber when ordering. Some lines on the sd card slot indeed seem to ground when a sd card is inserted so the grounded sd card theory seems likely. R27 tomstoned when i...

Hardware Tutorial Using NAND-AID to repair a broken eMMC (fix 160-0103 system memory error)

Ok, thank you. I first have to recheck my soldering, cause the SD is not recognized (rednand still works tho) I ordered a microscope, because i did it wihout. I check all the connections with a multimeter and they seem good, i'm going to double check the connection tot he CLK and the SD card...

Hardware Tutorial Using NAND-AID to repair a broken eMMC (fix 160-0103 system memory error)

Thanks. I will probably rebuild the Nand on the NAND-AID then. I ordered the recommended SD card. The 32GB sandisk max endurance.

Hardware Tutorial Using NAND-AID to repair a broken eMMC (fix 160-0103 system memory error)

I'm currently using the Rednand option, but i've got a NandAID Pcb coming in. Is there an easy option to switch from using rednand to the nand aid or do i have to start again so to speak?

Hacking Spoof explained. For people who want play games from 7.55 on old firmwares

If spoofing the requires firmware works. I'd think changing the requires firmware doe the game should work too. The backports patches that are provided only changed the requires SDK version, not the requires system software version when you check Them. The requires SDK version is in the...
