    Yep, my 3DS was updated to 3.0.0-6U and the Acekard 2i I ordered worked after putting the AKAIO 1.8.9 on it and popping it in the 3DS.

    I recently bought an Acekard 2i from NDS Gamer and it came pre-updated. It also used Paypal for the payment.
