    I have a fat PSP running 3.52 m33 and no matter what, every time I try to update the firmware, it freezes at a black screen and powers off after a few seconds of running the update (from 3.60, to 3.71 and so on) and I need to start in recovery mode to get it working again. How can I get around...

    I'm getting a slim this weekend... are there any older models I should look for? The new slim I plan to buy is going to be a core, is that where the new, incompatible models are? Or do I have to buy something like the Daxter bundle to get an older PSP?
