    Homebrew WIP OpenMW for Switch

Awesome port! Figured I'd post about the troubleshooting I went through in case it ends up being helpful to someone else. I have a Mac, and using the morrowind.ini and the Data Files folder from the GOTY edition, at first I was getting LOOOONG loading times (like 30-40 minutes) and then a crash...

Hacking L4T Ubuntu - A fully featured linux on your switch

Tried searching to no avail. Got everything running without too much trouble, but for some reason I get some pretty bad screen glitching/flickering while it's in the dock, but switching to 720p fixes it. Any idea why it's happening?

Hacking COMPLETED CDNSP - Download & repack your games, updates, and DLC's to NSP!

Assuming you mean Mac and not SX OS, hippy dave posted a slightly edited version for Macs on page 6, and from there if you just throw in the necessary files for the fixed version of CDNSP, it *should* all work. If I remember correctly the only change you'll have to make manually to the new...

Hacking COMPLETED CDNSP - Download & repack your games, updates, and DLC's to NSP!

Out of curiosity, what are these "minor alterations?" I've gotten it mostly working after a ton of fiddling (and accidentally breaking my default Python installation in the process,) I just can't get the actual downloading part to work, resulting in this big ugly mess.

Hacking TX Releases SX OS v1.3

That would explain why I just wasted an hour of my life. God I wish trying to do literally any of this with a Mac wasn't so problematic.

Tutorial How to install eShop games with SX OS

Nope, I get an "unable to communicate with server" error when I try using eNXhop. Am I just supposed to leave it on the actual eNXhop screen while it downloads? Because if not it seems like I'm banned from anything related to Nintendo's servers other than game updates edit: Scratch that, I...

Tutorial How to install eShop games with SX OS

Alright, I'm losing my goddamn mind, does any game other than Pokemon Quest work as a donor for DevMenu? My Switch is banned and I don't have any way to redownload Pokemon Quest unfortunately, and neither the Octopath demo or Picross S seem to work.

Hacking Team-Xecuter Releases SX OS v1.2

Is anyone else seeing slow loading times in Mario Tennis? It's mainly the black screens when you leave a stage in adventure mode, I'm noticing they take around 8-9 seconds. Hoping it's not my SD card, I haven't had this problem with any other game (legitimately owned or otherwise)...

Hacking [PSA] LayeredFS is causing Banwave!!!

Definitely seems to be a bit random at the moment, I've only loaded backups through LayeredFS (including forgetting to turn airplane mode on for one session...) and I haven't been banned so far.

Hacking SX OS 1.1 Is Out

If it doesn't fix type 2 games, I'd imagine this is just a quick fix they pushed out to fix the fuse burning issue.

Tutorial How to use LayeredFS for Backup Loading + What Games Work/Don't

Splat 2 was working with saves for me too, over Pokemon Quest, though I didn't check to make sure it stuck after a reboot (mainly did it to check if I could inject my real Splatoon 2 save into it, which of course was a no go.)

Tutorial How to use LayeredFS for Backup Loading + What Games Work/Don't

For people who aren't getting the exefs folder for certain games, I had to look around for the master keys that weren't included in my keys.ini file (mine only had 0 and 4 to start with.) After adding the missing keys, it seems to be working flawlessly.

Tutorial How to use LayeredFS for Backup Loading + What Games Work/Don't

Game: Runner3 Target: Pokemon Quest Status: Works, sort of. Crashed after completing the first level, deleting Pokemon Quest's save and trying again didn't help. Save: ??? Game: Dragon Quest Builders Target: Pokemon Quest Status: Works! Save: Nope.

Homebrew RELEASE Chocolate Doom Ported to the Nintendo Switch

Works like a charm for Chex Quest, which is all I could ever ask for in this world. I did run into one instance where it just suddenly closed back to the HB menu shortly after saving, and I've had some trouble with not being able to open it back up again after closing the game (I'm gonna assume...

@AncientBoi, Yeah, believe you can do PSP games as well. But a Pi5 is much powerful in comparison.

Not sure about other models of Pi4 but the Pi 4 B with 8GBs OCed to 2Ghz handles PSP really great except like 1 game I found and it is playable it just looks bad lol Motor Storm Arctic something or other.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Other games I can have turned up to like 2X and all kinds of enhancements, Motorstorm hmmm nope 1X and no enhancements lol

I will admit that one does seem more interesting than the usual Ambernic ones, and I already liked those.
  • Veho @ Veho:
    I dread the price point.

  • Veho @ Veho:
This looks like one of their premium models, so... $150 :glare:

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    To me that seems reasonable.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I mean since basically all the games are errmmm free lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean yeah sure but the specs are the same as a $50 model, it's just those pesky "quality of life" things driving up the price, like an actually working speaker, or buttons that don't melt, and stuff like that.

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think all in my Pi 4 was well north of 200 bucks 150ish for the Pi 4 the case the fancy cooler, then like 70 for the 500GB MicroSD then like 70 for the Xbox controller. But honestly it's a nice set up I really enjoy and to me was worth every penny. (even bought more controllers for 2 or 4 player games.) hmmm have never played any 2 player games yet :(
  • Veho @ Veho:
Yeah that's what I hate about the RPi, it's supposedly $30 or something but it takes an additional $200 of accessories to actually turn it into a working something.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
yes that's the expensive part lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean sure it's flexible and stuff but so is uremum but it's fiddly.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah a lot of it I consider a hobby, using Batocera I am constantly adjusting the collection adding and removing stuff, scraping the artwork. Haven't even started on some music for the theme... Also way down the road I am considering attempting to do a WiiFlow knock off lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I want everything served on a plate plz ktnx, "work" is too much work for me.
  • Veho @ Veho:
Hmm, with that in mind, maybe a complete out-the-box solution with all the games collected, pacthed and optimized for me would be worth $150
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah it's all choice and that's a good thing :)
