PS1/2 Playing backups via AR Max Media Player.

OK, I've got a question. Since my PS2 has a date code of 8D, and isn't compatible with Free Mcboot, I wanted to know if it would be possible to play backups using the Swap Magic 3.8 elf after being launched by my retail AR Max media player( it supports flash drives).

Hacking Cfg loader and gc backups

Here's your problem. You NEED dios mios in order to play GC backups or retail discs. It doesn't matter which loader you use, they will ALL show a "DIOS MIOS" boot screen before it launches the game. Your hdd also needs to be plugged in while launching the game.

Hacking Concerning Super Smash Bros. Brawl

Is your rip of the game smaller than 7.92 gbs? If so, then your rip is being shrunk during the ripping process and is removing parts of the game. This is why some parts of the game are not working.

Hacking Dios Mios help, after install

If I am correct, I believe once you install a DIOS MIOS or DIOS MIOS Lite wad, you can no longer play the retail discs.

Hacking I have been off the scene for two years -- what are some things I should do to my wii?

I don't think a homebrew for viewing hacks installed on your Wii exists, but i may be wrong. WBFS format isn't really used anymore because Wii and gamecube games can run on a Fat32 harddrive. If you want to bring yourself up to speed, its best to follow one of the more recent tutorials...
