PSone Disk motor spins too fast and never stops and won't read disks

Hmm, maybe in your case it's just the replacement driver, I'm pretty sure only BA5947FP is compatible with this console, I discovered that each driver has it's pins changed, so of well you find a compatible driver and create a 'kind of' adapter for it to work or you just find a BA5947FP... Also...

Thank you so much!!! I'll take a look at those too as soon as I finish with exams!

PSone Disk motor spins too fast and never stops and won't read disks

Not updates for now sadly 😞. I'm still trying to find the ICs I need and find some free time since I'm trying to fix this while I have to deal with exams and studying. I've fixed my schedule a bit, so I hope I can buy a few of those ICs soon and give updates soon too. I think the last pair of...

PSone Disk motor spins too fast and never stops and won't read disks

This could be the final evidence of a faulty IC 722, I'm trying to save to buy a few new BA5947FP-E2 from other sources to check if it was that the ones I bought from Aliexpress were fake or faulty (I won't be surprised, but I can get a refund in such case, I spent about 10€ on those chips)

PSone Disk motor spins too fast and never stops and won't read disks

Don't worry! I got it! I used this page to repair a controller a while ago but I didn't knew it had the pinout of everything related with the drive!! This is so useful! Thank you so much! I'll leave the link for you here so everyone can help and share their opinion...

PSone Disk motor spins too fast and never stops and won't read disks

Well, I've been trying things these last days, I worked on it during all that week I said and continued a few more weeks, and I just discovered that I might not have enough resources to check if the IC 722 is the problem. Let me explain. I've ordered BA5947FP for PSOne since that's what the...

Switch Wont charge after installing Modchip

Meanwhile try to use the original Adapter to avoid any unexpected current. Btw, which other problems are you facing? Just curiosity

Switch Wont charge after installing Modchip

Well, that's pretty strange, try using original charger and let it charge for a few minutes, if the battery keeps going down maybe there's something else wrong around the charging section, ICs or Voltage regulators, you can check with a multimeter if there's enough power reaching the battery

Switch Wont charge after installing Modchip

Yes, it looks like ground and afaik there should be a fuse right there, you can replace it or bridge it and test if that's the issue! If it is, then replace it with a fuse for security and circuit protection But just for making sure, which model is your switch?

Switch Wont charge after installing Modchip

My best guess is to open it up and check if any resistance or diode/capacitor is misplaced on the track that goes from the USB C to the charging driver and battery

PSone Disk motor spins too fast and never stops and won't read disks

Small Update: I have free time this week, I'll check everything related to that resistance and compare it with a working one because it could be related to this problem, and in case it is just a resistance, everything will be much easier, I'll update y'all!!!

PSone Disk motor spins too fast and never stops and won't read disks

On the worst case the only fix could be install a cheap ODE with Raspberry Pico, but is pretty unstable and deprecated, I'll be checking. I've read the PS1-9XXX Diagram which is the one for PU-23 (yours) and there are no solder points that affect that I except, maybe, the one where you grab...

PSone Disk motor spins too fast and never stops and won't read disks

Thank you so much! I don't see any shorts tbh, but I will try to resolder that IC I said (since I bought 2) and if that doesn't work I'll try to investigate about that other 2 ICs that are related to Psnee, maybe the problem is on the arduino that gave some kind of wrong signal or voltage and...

PSone Disk motor spins too fast and never stops and won't read disks

Oh wait, this could actually be helpful for me! Could you send a picture and/or link to what did you solder/resolder/de soldered?, I currently don't know what is what produces this error, if a bad or deteriorated with time solder can be causing this, maybe one of the components related to that...

PSone Disk motor spins too fast and never stops and won't read disks

Hi! Sadly I've been occupied with exams and life so I couldn't work a lot into it, anyways, I've received the consoles that have been sent and I've been investigating about the issue. Probably on the begging of april It'll be fixed or at least be closer to what's the reason why this happens...
