just update to 4.2 via the pack. then follow the guide. your chip will not affect anything. ------------------------------ When you say via the pack, does that mean the Nintendo original update from the wii. Update it there and then follow the guide here?- gnaoh

Hacking RELEASE: v4.2 Safe Firmware Updater
Hello, I am a newbie. I currently have wiikey v1 at 3.3U. I want to play modern warfare and I need to update to 4.2. Whats the safetest method in doing so that will enable me to play backup games still with region free. thanks- gnaoh

I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

Just give it a try, but honestly if you have a 3DS you can play DS games without a card just off the internal SD card
