Hardware replacing bottom TN for IPS HELP ME!
You're unlikely to find one unless you take it out of an IPS system yourself . From what I remember the screen types all use the same part number so there is no real way to tell one from the other.- Gara

Hardware N3DS sold out everywhere.
It's a popular product and I imagine they keep production runs limited in order to better control firmware and what ever other issues they will never admit to. Local stores run through their stock fast around here so they get new shipments often and thus get the latest firmware. I will agree...- Gara

Hardware Worth paying a premium for IPS?
I have a dual IPS N3DS XL and I would say it's worth it. I paid a premium to get it and I'm happy with the purchase. You'll get the biggest benefit from the top screen so I would say if you can get an IPS top and TN bottom you are still well off. For some reason the value on dual IPS systems...- Gara

Hori Duraflexi is the way to go. I use one and I can't imagine how it could damage the paint job. People with the metallic paint jobs like the Zelda unit are easily damaged but the Duraflexi is very soft. It will not provide one bit of drop protection but it is perfect for scratches and scuffs...- Gara

People on this site are incredibly frugal. One of the few places you can see heated debates about a $10 difference in flashcarts I agree with the above about installing a9lh yourself or at least putting 9.2 firmware on it. Gaming Better DS games on New 3DS XL
DSi XL by far. IPS screens and the best speakers of any Nintendo handheld. Although the standard Nintendo screen lottery applies. If you can find one with neutral colors you are set. 3DS XL with IPS screens is decent as well but I still prefer the DSi XL.- Gara

Hardware N3DS Retail Cart vs. SD Card speed/performance?
The 3DS is pretty much built around the class 4 micro SD cards. You'll see a very minor boost going to class 10 but beyond that there is no benefit besides transferring files from your PC to the card.- Gara

It's a lot of money for a battery but the people who have one seem to enjoy them. Does Nintendo even do actual repairs on warranty claims? My experience is limited but I am under the impression that most claims just get a refurbished system sent back.- Gara
