Thanks for sharing that info, I had never considered over tightening the screws. I am in the U.S. and usually turn to GameStop to just trade in joy cons with issues and take the now $6 refurb fee.
If you are in a country where Nintendo does free repairs I would advise going that route, I’ve seen this on joy cons where the antenna was getting smushed by the shell, pushing the wire further down has fixed it or sometimes the antenna itself...
of course because your problem is not the joysticks, check all cables are full settled on the connectors.
May be a bended connector or a loose antenna.
@AKNES the cables on the Joy Con sticks are longer, minor issue. Not sure if there was a specific reason, I really liked the shorter cables as now they are harder to install. Here is a photo showing what I am referencing. Overall not a big deal...
45 total, you give an email for each repair so I’m assuming they track by this or maybe address, not sure but they do track it. I received an email at box 45 stating the repair process was for consumers only. Calling Nintendo to get additional...
Exactly I was doing this as a broader project of personal interest on how gaming companies handle repairs, after about 30 boxes Nintendo starts sending your repairs to a specific area of the building, after about 45 boxes or 90 pairs they...
I think most common chans are 4 and 8. There are other less commonly used spin offs you can find via Google, nothing really good coming out of these sites. You can’t access 55chan through 55chan you are looking for 27chan to access it.
Haha I can see that with the title, I could have chosen something better! Honestly time wise you can ship Monday and have them back Friday, not always, but most of the time turnaround is immediate and they use two day shipping. I’m sure it...
Not gonna lie, I was prepared to report this post thinking it was spam, but utilizing Nintendo's free repair shop for Joycons in order to flip a profit is pure genius. Sure, it's a long waiting game, but for the patient people who hate repairing...
Swapped motherboards between two v1 units. The switch now sometimes boots, the switch was in pretty rough shape so it could be a pre existing issue before swapping. Someone had gone ham and totally destroyed the sd card slot so it’s very possible...
Yeah, the pro controller is amazing in terms of battery life. I feel like for the enxt console they will bite the bullet and make the joycons wider and bigger so they are more ergonomic. My prediction is the pro controller will stay pretty much...
I finally modeled and 3d printed the new HDD cages I need in order to build my 2nd NAS. Original ones don't fit the mounting holes on the hdds I'm using. Been sitting on this project for over 2 years smfh
Also another 70TB going in the front mount drive bays of this server. 182tb raw, going to probably use a zfs RAID-Z3 for 3 parity disks, so 140TB usable
I could claw back 14tb by only doing 2 parity disks but I feel like with 13 disks in the RAID I'd be kind of pushing my luck on rebuild time if I encounter a disk failure
