    I've only played the first one -- I enjoyed it! It has a bit of a character-action game/fighting game kind of bent to its gameplay systems with all of the move cancelling you can do.     I beat Super Castlevania 4 today. It's definitely much easier than 1 and 3; 8 directional whipping makes sub-weapons almost redundant. I was a little disappointed by the final boss, very much a "wait, that's it?" kind of deal
