    I always burn 2x speed verbatim and NEVER had a game in the past two years that failed my D2CKey. So I guess it's protection related indeed, however all the things mentioned in this thread are not working for this modchip.

    I have a 4.2 Wii with D2CKEY... I literally never had any problems with running games over the past 2 years without ever updating or replacing my modchip. It seems to be that NSMBW is the first game to stop this... but it seems like there are no patched iso's to solve this?

    Yea I can put my Wii to 60Hz, that is no problem... except when I start the game, than the screen remains blue

    You can't update D2Ckey ... that's the point of the chip, it's unable to update, but has never been detected

    Yep same for me, since my TV does not support 60Hz (I think). Otherwise I can't come up with a solution for this problem.

    deflicker is an option in SSBB which you can turn on/off which influences the smoothness of the image
