    You can use the "normal" point on the CPU, it works even without the caps, you just need to solder the flex to the caps points even without the capacitor (if you are using the flex), the flex that I used had solder points on both sides, so it was relatively easy to solder even without the capacitor.

    I'm connecting the black probe to the ground and the red probe to the 3.3v point... I measured all the points like this and they are correct (switch turns on normally and the modchip works), only the 3.3v gives this reading above 0.8v.
