    Decided to install CFW on my Old 3DS XL. Stupidly I forgot to make a backup to restore to when downgrading to 2.1. I tried to update to current 11.4 after installing Luma, and got an error through the system settings. I decided to update via game cartidges, but jumping too high from 2.1 also...

    Holy crap I lucked out there! I've done everything except finalizing the CFW install on 2.1. Is it safe to do so? The tutorials I have place reverting to the backup before messing with the CIAs. Edit: Thanks so much for the help!!!

    Hey! I've got a Old 3DS XL I got to 2.1. Stupidly, I didn't make a backup (I know). Is it safe for this O3DS XL to update through system settings or will this brick? I'm aware a N3DS will, but I'm having difficulty seeing if mine will.
