Homebrew RELEASE Apollo - File Explorer for Nintendo Switch

Today is the 50th Anniversary of Apollo 11 Moon Landing. Unfortunately I didn't have much time to prepare and test everything from the 'planned features' list for the new update to celebrate this day, but update is coming soon :).

Hacking Question How to delete data from failed nsp installation?

Yeah, delete the ticket, check if you can uninstall it in system menu, restart the console, and if it still doesn't work and you don't see any options to delete it, then connect your sdcard to the computer and use chkdsk to fix bad files. At least it is what I usually do.

Homebrew RELEASE Apollo - File Explorer for Nintendo Switch

Nope, I didn't really planned to implement any of systemwise functions to Apollo, I want to keep it as a file explorer. I'll add method to manage NAND files in the future and a few other things (maybe redirecting nsps to one's favourite nsp installer homebrew), but for stuff like installing nsp...

    Favourite Book?

I didn't know that he has this kind of reputation and I don't know really know David Lynch's movies. But thank you, I'll check them. As for now I read 1Q94 and I enjoy it, but I don't feel this specific mood in it, maybe because I didn't have much time to just sit and simply read, instead I was...

And after tilting your left dpad to the left you got access to the sidebar menu.

Thanks! I'll try to implement that feature in the v0.3. Nope, it doesn't support touch yet, it is controlled by joycons.

Homebrew RELEASE Apollo - File Explorer for Nintendo Switch

Really? I wasn't aware of that, but that only means that it is possible to implement :).

Homebrew RELEASE Apollo - File Explorer for Nintendo Switch

That is exactly what I wanted to do! :D The problem is I need to add some changes to the orginal pplay and vgedit to make them able to receive arguments in main, and then the rest should be easy (I'm not yet sure how easy or if even easy). If I will be able to do it, then you can expect this...

Homebrew RELEASE Apollo - File Explorer for Nintendo Switch

I think that I didn't make it clear, my role model is Es File Explorer, but only in terms of functions, design is completely different thing. I must admit that using raw Plutonium out of the box, wouldn't work, I needed to add some changes, even the sidebar couldn't exist without some fixes...

Homebrew RELEASE Apollo - File Explorer for Nintendo Switch

That would explain why I wasn't able to support these languages in Apollo, but still I'm curious if there's something that can be done with this. If there are only images packed in archives then it should be simple to implement.

Dark theme won't be a problem, but I'm not yet sure what colors should I use.

Homebrew RELEASE Apollo - File Explorer for Nintendo Switch

Thank you very much, hearing that from the creator of the most advanced file explorer for the Switch means a lot to me. I must say that making Apollo gave me more knowledge than 3 years of high school (they taught me english not c++).

Homebrew RELEASE Apollo - File Explorer for Nintendo Switch

I believe that these features are mandatory for any file explorer. My role model is currently banned from Google Play Es File Explorer, which before deletion was mine "must-have' tool. I'll be happy to give it more uniqueness, but this not a game nor a movie, this is a tool, so having same...

Homebrew RELEASE Apollo - File Explorer for Nintendo Switch

I planned to work on that feature, but I don't promise anything, because as for now I know very little about how to implement this. If I remember correctly joel16 said that he had some problems with that, but I'm really curious what are these problems, so I'll think about that. Well I removed...

Homebrew RELEASE Apollo - File Explorer for Nintendo Switch

I planned to implement other view types (detailed list, bigger list and thumbnails) after accomplishing my current 'planned feature list', so yeah it should be done in 0.3 version
