    Hacking USB Loader GX

There is one already. Sort of. Plug your HDD to the bottom port. Then plug your USB stick to the top port and start the loader, you will see the games on the stick only. Unplug the stick and you see the games on the HDD Works like that for me at least.

    Hacking USB Loader GX

The disc is needed, well at least the "unnecessary click" is. When kids try to start a certain game they often miss it, and not launching with a single click is good. Then they can back out and retry instead of waiting for the wrong game to start and starting all over. In rev 125 the disc...

I worked around that by giving the most played games a name starting with an asterisk. This makes **Lego Batman** the first game in the list Now my 4 year old does not have to scoll down all the way to L to play the Lego games.

Absolutely no need for that, IF the loader would default to "system video" instead of "game video" mode.

I did request that on the googlecode page. It was promptly closed as WontFix. So don't hold your breath. Just use another Wiimote.

Also, please make it default to system video mode instead of game. Or at least save the setting.

Bug in rev96 WAD Try to exit to HBC (stupid yes) -> Code dump. Running it from HBC or from Forwarder works as expected I love this! great news that hungyip joined this project. Please make it download disc/covers and have parental control. Then it will be (near) perfect

    Hacking GUI USB Loader

Saving your priced originals from the hands of little devils is not piracy. Downloading the isos from the net if you don't have the original is. This is not what we are discussing here is it?

A kid safe mode would be nice. -Remove install/remove game functionality -Save settings for Imports so you don't have to remember to force PAL/NTSC before launching a game. -Maybe a parental PIN for anything but launching a game.

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
