    Thanks! Where could I find accurate info on it, if its even possible to play all games with it, how to burn my own discs etc?

    It plays real PS2 DVD games and burnt CD and DVD PS2 games like normal. PS1 games (imports, burnt etc) and DVD movies go to the browser which shows them as blue CD games and real PS2 CD games aren't recognized at all.

    I took the entire thing apart (managing to damage one of the ribbon cables on the disc drive in the process, whoops). Sure looks like something was done to it!

    Thats why Im asking, since the warranty seal was not broken when I got the system, so I doubt it could be a chip

    No luck with either method, sadly. Is it even possible to install a modchip without destroying the warranty sticker?

    So I picked up an used fat PS2, SCHP-50004 (PAL). It came with a bunch of backup PS2 and PS1 discs, so I figured it must be modded, which it seems to be, but I have no idea how.
