    one's a very powerful but also very costly "multimedia machine" with around 3hrs of battery life, aimed mostly at regular to hardcore gamers. And the other is a "gaming machine", but is also capable of alot of multimedia stuff(emulators, surfing the net, audio, video, and alot of homebrews)...

    for a game that's sometimes played on the DS in horizontal mode, and sometimes vertical(book mode), that should easily explain why. Also, some of the scenes displays image-like kanji vertically. something w/c i believe couldn't be hexed easily. Plus the game shifts from 3D and 2D.

    Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: echoes of time If by chance you know japanese, Nanashi no geemu is awesome. The DS castlevania installments also have interesting story lines.
