    I've used few different brands of SD cards and never encountered any slowdowns (on save creation and ROM loading). i'm currently using a Taiwan-made Kingston SD. no problems so far. are you sure you bought a REAL one (SD or TTDS)?

    ...are you using the genuine DSTT?... The probable cause of this is your TF card..., try removing the card and you'll feel it hot and not the DSTT... these devices (including your USB flash drives and other memory modules) gets hotter over time and i think its normal... im also experiencing...
