You can steal stuff if you don't have any money. And if you get caught and thrown in jail, then you get free food and lodging. It's a win-win situation. :D Just joking, of course. Yes, in a capitalist society, you need money for everything...
Yeah. I still remember when piracy was not even a concern. Companies made dual cassette decks specifically for that purpose. And before Napster, loser Lars from Shittallica talked about mixtapes and trading tapes with his buddies in his teens...
But on the other side of the coin, they were great for music piracy. So many cassettes my friend did for me from his great records collection. I remember back then hearing some news item about the music industry wanting to do something to...
ref to post #49,698 ?
Thank you kind fella for pointing to that, 3rd shift side effects
Yeah, I turned to doing it manually because after I used the AIO, I had package and fusee errors... then I started to read off of rentry to try to...
If you just go back a couple of posts before yours, you will find @Blythe93 posted a very thorough method of updating the Switch. You should read it. Don't rely on AIO Updater or pre-made SD packs. Do it manually.
Short answer: On your emuNAND, you can update your firmware via Daybreak provided you already have firmware files dumped or downloaded on your SD card. On your sysNAND, however, only update if it's clean, otherwise you risk getting your console...
Oh my! Atari 2600 joystick?! That goes way back, but it's actually the first controller I ever used to play a video game. Only one button, but that's all that was needed for those games back then, The stick was kind of stiff, and it would...
I like to wait to move to a big, numerical, update. It gives the devs time to iron out any kinks. Sometimes, though, I just to update to stay current. No problem in waiting until, as mentioned above, a game requires it.
I believe there are new keys for firmware 18. I saw a lockpick version for it. I didn't try it, because I haven't updated yet. You're perfectly fine staying on FW17 for the moment. But if, or rather when, a game gets developed for firmware...
Sorry, don't use Linux and never will. Dust2dust says it works out of box on Linux but if not, I then suggest a dual boot setup with Linux and Windows.
It might be related to old sysmodules. Take a look at this thread. Did you hack your Switch by yourself manually, or you used a pre-made SD card bundle? Or did you update recently with an AIO app? These create more problems than they solve...
MTP should work out of the box on Linux. At least, it did for me. I'm using Ubuntu 22.04. And DBI backend also works flawlessly on my system. It does need python3, though. I usually just enter "sudo python3 dbibackend" to launch it, and it...
Anybody here have a Xbox series S and a series X, is the performance difference noticeable? Not worried about 4k. I have a series X but not a series S and was curious. (Reason- I was thinking of buying a series S for a second tv, for when grandkids come over, to keep them off my X)
