A friend of me was recently asking me for advice, she's been using some stupid overpriced Razer membrane "hybrid" thing, she'd like something where you can actually feel the key presses, but also most importantly something with no backlight at all, just fully readable symbols without any backlighting,
  • IC_ @ IC_:
I don't know much about the world of mechanical keyboards, with a little research we concluded that brown switches are probably what she's looking for, but I'm not sure, and also where to get a keyboard like this without any lighting. I was thinking of making a thread asking for advice on this forum, but didn't end up doing so in the end.

I agree with you! I read up on internet about Razer company is bad. Want to know why? They changed quality control to low. Something happen on gaming mouse, keyboard, etc go something gone wrong for no reasons. They are use cheap materials to fool everyone and lies them about price are high are know cheat us and people. Don't buy Razer things period. ;)

  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
gamers seem to prefer browns and people who type a lot seem to prefer reds
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:

  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
I want one that's tactile but not loud af
  • IC_ @ IC_:
I mean, I pretty much only type, and blue is the only one for me.
  • console @ console:
About Logitech, long time ago was great quality which for old PC like Windows XP, Vista and 7 are very solid running for years. Later after quality changed from Logitech had some problems. Non-gaming mouse and gaming mouse give their double clicks. Something wrong with switches inside mouse need to replace. I remember that.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
I don't need the entire neighborhood knowing I good at windows pinball
  • IC_ @ IC_:
I tried a keyboard with browns at the flea market last week, and it felt so much worse than blues to me, but that keyboard looked cheap and had no brand, so the switches might have been of terrible quality.

@K3Nv2 That's what my friend would like, so we assumed brown is what she should get.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
if its plastic its gonna feel awful no matter what switches are used

I was force to buy V7 mouses and Havit mouses never give me any problems so far for over 5 years. My one V7 mouse give up after 6 years and 2 months then I have to replace another mouse. V7
and Havit mouses are great quality in my opinion.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:

japanese made omron instead of the chinese made that all the mouse manufacturers use
  • console @ console:
Amen. Very smart to replace fault switches in any mouses. I had solder system and will fix all mouses on my own in near future.
  • console @ console:
That's right! I know omron switches are one best for any mouses to fix double clicks and stopped working switches inside mouse.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Cheapo keyboards are still good to have as a back up tbh
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
the chinese made is the only one designed for use in mice so thats why all manufacturers default to that, the japanese made has a bit higher actuation force but its easy to get used to
