    as i mentioned to MegaDeKay, the gamepad error is completely unrelated to the display fix, since the fix was in the console and the one giving the error now is the Gamepad only, i just felt the need to mention because the Wii U as a whole feels like an endless source of electronic problems

    I guess it can work by completely disabling the drive through the usage of a hardmod, as you mentioned in your post, for completely hopeless consoles People just need to be aware that it also requires soldering and more materials than a simple piece of wire

    nope, they are a 4 line model instead of a 2 line model i mean, i guess maybe lining 2 up of the 2 line model could work? but what i did was take out the filter and solder direct lines anyways

    i can see some heat damage on the electrolytic cap and the drive connector, let's hope it isn't anything too bad it may be just me, but it looks like some pads aren't properly soldered, can you measure continuity between the following points?

    Post pics of how you did the soldering to replace the CM9/CM10 components? After soldering them did you made sure they worked fine with a multimeter? the only continuity you should get is between the parallel lines, anything else is a short
