Hacking Nintendo Has Released v7.0.0-200 - PLEASE DO NOT UPDATE!

I can afford to buy games. However, I will not give money to those anti-consumer, Japanese megalomaniacs. Beyond utilities, homebrew on modern consoles is a novelty. If you want to make a game there are much easier tools for development and vastly superior platforms for distribution. There are...

Hacking is there any BENEFITS of NOT being banned?

It makes no sense to never connect to Nintendo services to prevent being banned from Nintendo's services. I would recommend you use stealth mode when you are not using Nintendo's services and turn it off to update games, update firmware, and open the eShop to see what new games there are to...

Homebrew Question Is a Wii U emulator possible for the Nintendo Switch?

Do you know how reading comprehension works? He is saying it wouldn't be possible to run Wii U games via emulation so that's why Wii U games would have to come via port or remaster. I don't see how a reasoned person could think he was conflating emulation with porting. Congratulations on...

Homebrew Question Is a Wii U emulator possible for the Nintendo Switch?

It would have the frame rate of a children's pop up book.

Hacking HDD xci loading, sound stuttering

That's balls. Well maybe a 3.0 drive would come closer to saturating the max theoretical bandwidth of USB 2.0 (60 MB/s).

Hacking HDD xci loading, sound stuttering

30 MB/s is nearly 1/3 the speed of a Switch game card (I believe they are around 80 MB/s). I can see how that might cause streaming problems. Load times must be really bad with that drive. Get a USB 3.0 enclosure.

Hacking TX Presents SX OS v2.5 BETA - With LAN-PLAY Support

I haven't messed with my Switch for a while so I know I've missed some stuff. Can you install NSPs to USB devices now? If not your comment questioning why somebody would use XCIs is kinda dumb. Even before USB Loading XCIs were nice because it was easier to swap games when your microSD becomes...

Homebrew Discussion [POLL] FAT32 vs. exFAT | issue discussion

Touché. I don't have RetroArch installed but if/when I do that is something to consider.

Saves are stored on the NAND.

Homebrew Discussion [POLL] FAT32 vs. exFAT | issue discussion

Despite the scary red text, I'll stick to exFAT. So what if the card gets corrupted? I'll just reformat and copy the files back over. What are people storing on their Switch microSD cards that are so precious? Photos of your first born? This would have to be a much more common occurrence to make...

Hacking Question I'm gonna bite the bullet and update to 6.0.1

I thought the OP had mentioned it but I guess that was another thread.

Hacking Question I'm gonna bite the bullet and update to 6.0.1

If you want to update without burning fuses then just update officially and insert a jig before the system restarts. When you see the restart countdown simply hold the Vol + button. Now you will be in RCM. Push the SX OS payload while holding Vol + to access the SX boot menu. Now you can install...

Hacking Question Would a portable mode overclock be possible?

OK then. Define short, in terms of electronics.
