    When the other regions come out, you can just extract the save with SaveDataFiler and inject it into the correct region's rom, then everything will work with the patches

    Yes that should work if you extract the save with SaveDataFiler and overwrite the "main" file of the other game But the Pokemon's names will stay japanese unless ich edit them with PkHex when it exists for ORAS ;)

    Official reason is that stores in italy sold pokemon x/y too early, so they want to prevent that ...but that doesnt really make sense because stores in canda did the same :O

    Ah no thats wrong... I bought mine in "regensburg"(City near munich) in a retail store, it was a german package and had just a simple transparent tape you could just put on another tape and nobody would notice Additionally a friend ordered one from amazon that did not have any opening...

    After updating to 8.1 and downloading some free programs(youtube) from the eShop while in emunand mode I noticed after a restart of the console they also appeared on the SystemNand. But an error pops up when I'm trying to start them, it says i should re-download the software from the eShop...

    I think on amazon its really a gamble. You could me lucky and recieve an old unit, or a new one with firmware >=5.x Additionally if you buy a regular 3DS not the XL version, there is a higher chance of getting an old unit I would suggest to be sure, to go into a store and ask if you can view...
