    You don't unlock costumes until partway through the game. Until you unlock them, the costume-granting amiibo will act like other amiibo and give you random items. I can confirm 100% as someone who has these costumes now, the instructions in this thread do work, but the amiibo otherwise don't...

    Edit: Not sure what happened, but I just went ahead and reinstalled Ryujinx, and now it's working fine! Thanks for saying that, and I appreciate the stuff everyone's doing for the community! Thank you guys!
