    You might also want to check if you have dmnt_cheats_enabled_by_default set to u8!0x1 and change it to u8!0x0. It took me quite a while to figure out why I suddenly had everything unlocked in Mario Kart 8 after switching from SX OS to Atmosphere (Kosmos).

    Does not answer your question, but might be a solution to your concern: Boot some linux live distribution on your friends computer and copy over the data. This way you can assure that the operating system is clean.

    The most problematic point in my opinion is that leaving system menu after enabling emuNAND returns you to systemNAND.

    After starting emuNAND mode, entering/leaving settings (to check version number) the 3DS seems to fall back to original NAND? Is this expected behavior?

    Guess the emuNAND mode now is the preferred/default one. If there's a emuNAND partition it boots into it. Without it should fallback to the classic GW-Mode. Pressing L-Button allows manually choosing between the modes. E: thanks for the clarification Cyan

    Double check your firewall rules. The opened port should be forwarded to the ip address of the computer running the ftp server. ---- Maybe better do it step by step: Start the Serv-U FTP-Server and try to connect it from localhost (same computer). Failure means your Serv-U isnt properly...

    sell your device. You don't use it anyways and chances 6.x gets hacked are.... If you are really into piracy homebrew get a 4.5 3DS now as it can/will become more expensive/unavailable (see PS3...)

    i got my Gateway on saturday, packaging is same as yours. Only difference is my blue card has "X-B" written on red PCB - and the red card is completely broken. I would advise you to check it for functionality
