DSpico - An open-source flashcart for the DS(i)

Perhaps the Japanese DSi was above a certain battery threshold (or you had it plugged in) when you first tried it... And most reports (including mine) indeed happen with Sandisk cards as well, I currently don't have any way to test this game myself until the weekend though, but I very much think...

DSpico - An open-source flashcart for the DS(i)

You don't happen to have a DSi XL? This does sound like the same issue I (and a few others) had, I reported this problem on the github repo quite a while ago, https://github.com/LNH-team/pico-loader/issues/116 but anyways you could try an other Micro SD card (different model) for a quick "fix"...

Hardware SuperChis Prime: How I Fixed the SuperCard SD's Flaws on a Budget

Yeah should work perfectly without problems, just make sure you also copy all hidden files. Alternatively you can just put the micro SD card you used in your old Supercard into the SuperChis and it should work just fine too (that's what I did with mine).

Hardware SuperChis Prime: How I Fixed the SuperCard SD's Flaws on a Budget

that's very weird, I had no problem updating my SuperChis from the previously installed version by following the flashing-instructions, no idea what else could be the problem...

Hardware SuperChis Prime: How I Fixed the SuperCard SD's Flaws on a Budget

One thing I can think of, if you copied it twice on the SD card, once with .gba and once with .fw and then flash while booted into the.gba file - Did you download the correct firmware? This should be the correct one for the SuperChis...

SuperFW: a custom firmware for Supercard

I mean there are three ⚠️⚠️⚠️ exclamation marks on both sides ⚠️⚠️⚠️ and it's written in bold text, but just maybe read it again... (obviously, the same applies for versions earlier than 0.18). ⚠️⚠️⚠️ NOTE: Updating from v0.18 will fail due to checksum check. Follow the instructions for first...

SuperFW: a custom firmware for Supercard

It says so in the readme of 0.19... https://github.com/davidgfnet/superfw/releases/tag/v0.19 Release v0.19 Bump to version 0.19 Adding built-in NOR flash support and SuperChis cart support. Re-implemented RTC emulation, allows for time passage emulation. Some UI changes on loading/launching...

Hardware SuperChis Prime: How I Fixed the SuperCard SD's Flaws on a Budget

Just follow the instructions for "firmware flashing" in the excellent docs on davidgf's SuperFW website: https://superfw.davidgf.net/docs/install/flash/ On a DSLite you can either flash it directly on the SuperChis in GBA mode or alternatively with the flasher tool with a Slot 1 flashcart

SuperFW: a custom firmware for Supercard

I somehow just managed to wipe the firmware of my SuperChis by interrupting the flash... no big deal, the DS flashtool (0.8) should work, right? However when I try to flash it on my DS Lite it (the latest 0.19 Chis variant) it stays at "Erasing flash chip" for ages... should it really take that...

Hardware SuperChis Prime: How I Fixed the SuperCard SD's Flaws on a Budget

yes there is a build 0.19 of the Chis variant of SuperFW on github, just make sure to follow the instructions to first boot it as a normal .gba game and then flash the .fw while booted into the .gba game (usually this is not needed AFAIK, but it's needed when upgrading to 0.19 from the previous...

Hardware SuperChis Prime: How I Fixed the SuperCard SD's Flaws on a Budget

I just received the SuperChis Prime today from the ChisFamily store (together with the DSPico) and while I only tested it in a very limitied time so far, flashing problematic games to flash (I tried Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga) definitely fixes the slowdowns (my old Supercard had lots of...

DSpico - An open-source flashcart for the DS(i)

Did you get the DSPico from Aliexpress? If so it could be that the pre-flashed firmware wasn't compiled with WRFUXXED so it won't run on an unmodified DSi... (depending on the store, I have heard that the seller gamepartstore for example hasn't included this exploit in their firmware) so the...

DSpico - An open-source flashcart for the DS(i)

It seems Chis is fine with that shop (or possibly somehow affiliated), they also sell SuperChis and this is a post from him on the GBA forum about this shop: https://gbatemp.net/threads/superchis-prime-how-i-fixed-the-supercard-sds-flaws-on-a-budget.678808/post-10804799

[solved] DSPico - "Failed to read SD card" error

You might check this github issue and possibly report yours there as well, so the DSPico devs can investigate this further... https://github.com/LNH-team/dspico/issues/4 - in the meantime trying a different SD card (preferably an other brand) might just fix the issue for you

DSpico - An open-source flashcart for the DS(i)

I have a cheap unlabelled R4iLS clone (I think; at least that's what I have to use with AOS) with the red PCB and "Deep Labyrinth" as game shown when entering it into a DS, and Pico Loader (as well as Pico Launcher) work perfectly fine with the ACE3DS build for me... so I assume "original" R4iLS...
