    After troubleshooting for a couple days I found that it is a console issue with the Wii's usb port, and the device worked perfectly on giants on my pc. I found out its was a console issue when I tried using a portal of power on the Wii and had the same problems.

    Hello, I built the D.I.R.E device and I am having an issue where I need to turn on the device in Skylander mode before starting Skylanders giants game on the Wii, otherwise It will not be recognized by the game. Also if the device is accidently turned off mid game it wont be recognized again...
