    I can't guarantee that your purchases will be accessible after a restore. I didn't have any and I was willing to start from scratch if needed. Would be nice if someone could chime in... They might restore, but be unplayable until you connect to Sony's servers or something, which you would need...

    It mentions on the back up page that a console restore does not touch your m.2 storage, only the internal drive. The game data on my m.2 stayed.

    I mean if someone is doing forensics on your console, you probably have bigger issues to worry about. It should also be fine because of per-console encryption.

    My console was pretty bare when I did it, but the backup was 50gb or so. I did not have any purchases from the store though. That said, Sony's site mentions that you won't get back trophies on a restore and it will turn off console sharing and offline play...

    While that is true, jailbreaking does leave traces via left over files and such. Not that those traces will ever do anything. You won't get banned for having them.

    You can easily make a back up of your PS5, restore the y2jb back up, run the exploit then run the bd unpatch exploit. After that just restore your back up. You lose nothing. Restoring your back up does no repatch the bluray drive.
