    I tried to import other files into Audacity, and I got it perfect on the first try with a longer clip of a door opening. It doesn't seem to like importing shorter sounds. I have no idea why or what to do about that.

    Thanks for the reply! I didn't manage to understand most of that, but I did try replacing the file, and I got a new rom that locked up as soon as it was supposed to play the sound effect.
