    At the moment, my external HDD is out of service so I'm using a Sandisk 16GB USB thumbdrive despite the MANY recommendations to use an external HDD. I'm getting a new ext. hdd in a few days(hold ups due to holiday), but I wanted to see if I could get it to work with a thumbdrive.

    It was already set to 249, so I changed it to 250 and still a black screen. Changed it back to 249, yet another black screen.
