    Hacking System Menu questions/thoughts

Aha! INTERESTING! I see, since you patch the GAME to use IOS249 to make this work, therefore originals still run at 6x. Nice work, but I don't mind using Menu Rebooter each time. I'd rather do that than risk anything with all of this patching, not with my only Wii anyway.

    Hacking System Menu questions/thoughts

Well, there have been like a billion posts since this one but... Sorry, what I meant was when the System Menu gets patched by Waninkoko's Menu tool (for loading discs from the disc channel) it is this code (Waninikoko's) that needs the IOS249 in place (Waninkoko's version) in order to work. In...

    Hacking System Menu questions/thoughts

hey, IOS249 has a DIP patch to allow MenuPatcher 1.0 and Gamma to work. Since the SystemMenu doesn't use an IOS to do this, why should patching it to use IOS249 work? The System Menu would need to be permanently patched with a MenuPatcher also. Obvious, no? That's all, thanks, good night.

    Hacking Update Downloader NOW COMPILES!

http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Update_Downloader That is where you will find the link to the source and bash scripts. Yeah, it compiles, and works fine. The TitleID must be the full ID in hex with no delimeters, and the version, if specified, in decimal (see README). It was fun to grab IOS30v1040...

Hacking [TUT] How-to install Starfall (With Pictures and download!)

In case everyone didn't know, the usual place to download Starfall is here: http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Starfall At least it is the regular Wiki page where you get the link to download it from Crediar's site (he's the software author). Respect. And, ya, if you can read, you can install Starfall...

    Hacking See what HomebreWare is...

Fucking assholes! Why was the last thread about this scam closed? Here's info I could find about this loser, first with ping, then I tried to ftp to the site ping revealed, of course I didn't try to login, but it confirms the webhost as bluehost.com: $ ping -c1 www.homebreware.com PING...

    Hacking Geexbox questions ...

"1) No doesn't support wifi (fucking asses i wanted to test it as well)" Harsh! The reason, as you may know, is Geexbox is basically running off a port of Linux, which, as you know, doesn't have the wifi drivers ironed out yet.

    Hacking IOS in GH:WT

Hmmm, probably would be ok off an autoboot disc using a wad manager. As far as TH or HBC launching of wad manager to install, I would avoid overwriting the IOS the system menu is currently using. So, it would work. So... Back to your original issue... can you access the shop channel now?

Hacking Wii Backuploader, read error 324 solvation :D!

Dude, wtf are you talking about? Don't you know Waninkoko's cIOS installers aren't the actual cIOS? The link to this file is fine, not illegal. Download it and check the readme. I don't know why one wouldn't download it from the forum where Waninkoko posts it though....

    Hacking Wiifno

Is the source code available? This does the same thing as bushing's Title Lister (which I use), except bushing's program is much better. This wiinfo doesn't properly show the names of the IOSes, they are missing. bushing's Title Lister is also better because it lists all of the Wii's nand...

    Hacking IOS30-IOS37 versions question.

@-Unknown- IOS30v1040 http://wiibrew.org/wiki/System_Menu_Versions @nanika Well, I have a cIOS, but yeah if I did want to mess with IOS30 (I'm at 3.2), I guess going to 2.2 temporarily would be safest. I am tempted to overwrite IOS30 with a different version using wad manager, but I guess...

Hacking Need to update, no connection.

Seems like launching through Gamma or with Disc Channel patch should work? I'm not sure though, I have the disc update block on in Starfall. I wouldn't recommend, but maybe after patching the iso, you could use Wii Scrubber to extract IOS30 wad and the new system menu wad and install them...

    Hacking Is this possible?

YES, there is a way, sort of. I can't find the method right now, but I read you can take the wad of the channel off a disc, fuck with the TMD, delete the rest of the data, fakesign, then install over your current channel. It basically keeps it from using any space.
