    Hacking Configurable USB Loader

so i've recently updated to the d2x from using a really really old version of hermes cios. (in combination with upgrading to a newer version of config usb loader was using one from year ago or older) since that is what appears to give people the best results. i have 2 games that require bca...

no it expects it in binary format per oggzee's earlier post... so you need to use a hex editor or something to create the file.

It should work. as others have stated. I had the seagate equivalent to that, in the 5400 RPM mode... i pawned that drive off on a friend of mine, so i could upgrade to: http://www.amazon.com/Seagate-External-Des...983&sr=8-16 it kinda stinks to have to plug it into power... but it being a 7200...

Flash memory isn't the fastest for writes, especially depending how "expensive" the usb thumb drive was... you could try to see how fast you can write a multi gig file using your computer to it... and see how fast that is..

how did you figure that out? just did the math on a dump and converted it into a speed? that seems like a decent number... thats roughly a gig every 4 minutes.

Your coming from a retail disk right? Not from a backup that you had legally made previously? Retail disks to my 7200 rpm hard drive never take longer then 10 minutes. When the wii tries to read a backup, it is a whole lot slower, and it will take forever to dump.

i don't know of anything natively... I use cygwin on windows... it has most all of the unix command line utils in it... so i would just use split... http://www.cygwin.com/

I'm not sure how your "splitting" the files... but to convert hundreds of gigs of already split files... could someone use cat and split to re-split the files to whatever size you end up standardizing on? cat filename.wbfs filename.wbfs1 filename.wbfs2 | split -b (number of bytes in size)...
