    PS5 Slim EDM-040. 5 second blod. Only short I found was at the location below. The two caps highlighted. Resistance was about 78 but on my working board shows around 125. UART codes below.

    Just when I thought all hope was lost. Had already told the customer the board was toast and then I figured out what was going on. I had cut through the CMD line when doing the kamikaze method! Holy hell! Another lesson in the books!

    I i unfortunately didn’t have a backup. I’m going to pull the mod. If it turns on it’s not the nand. Will update.

    When I tried to boot into ofw through hekate it said failed to initiate emmc. I didn’t try it yesterday. I’ll try when I get home. I’m 99% sure it’s dead but I don’t want to tell the customer until I’m 100% sure.

    I do not have an emmc reader nor did I try and do a back up. 1725941126 Just attempted a back up. No dice.

    Welp. I rebelled the nand, replaced all resistors, reflowed all the points, and I still get failed to initiate emmc. 😪

    Oh man. I got all the way done with the mod and as I was closing the lcd ribbon connector it snapped off. So I replaced it using what I thought was as little heat as possible. Go to create the emmc and I get this message. Did I fry it?

    So I was just thinking. I thought one of the benefits of doing the kamikaze method was that you don’t have to remove the board from the housing. So there must be an alternative RST point right?

    Holy hell I finally got it. After rearranging things a dozen times I finally put the mosfet on the front under the shield and it glitched immediately.

    I put 100ohm resistors in each spot. I could have sworn that’s what I was doing before (it’s been awhile since I’ve done one). When I get home from work I’ll switch it out for a 47ohm.
