Hacking Is there a tutorial too upgrade from 5.05 cached Mira hen to 6.72 and hen?

Sometimes a jailbreak attempt will just keep failing for some reason. I've resorted to all manner of methods at times to get a successful result. Including, but certainly not limited to deleting browser cache. And other times I can get a string of a dozen or more successful attempts. It...

Hacking Is there a tutorial too upgrade from 5.05 cached Mira hen to 6.72 and hen?

Eh, depending on various things such as forgetting to remove a disc or detach a USB device after inevitable kernel panics and or jailbreak fails, you'll probably wind up deploying/caching whatever host option you use many times. But in essence, @godreborn 's assumption is spot on.

    Hacking PS4 5.05 cfw to 6.72 cfw

I recently updated my 5.05 PS4 to 6.72 and I don't regret it one bit. All of my previously installed games still work fine, plus now I have access to a slew of new games and don't have to muck about with backporting.

    Hacking db restore games

I too had problems with 6.72 DB Backup and Restore on leeful's github.io v6 beta. The DB Backup worked fine but DB Restore just locked my PS4 up forcing me to kill power to shut down. Then upon startup, the PS4 wiped my DB! Luckily I had an up to the minute PS4 backup to restore. I only did the...

And which way do you recommend backing the HDD up? PS4's Settings > System > Backup & Restore? FS DUMPER by Stooged? Or some HDD cloning process?

Homebrew TWPatcher - DS(i) mode screen filters and patches

I'm not sure why you want to do this but... In Twilight Menu++ settings (Make sure you are using v16+), set the default screensize to 4:3, then launch an NDS ROM with widescreen support with its per-game setting to 16:10 and viola! See the following Github issue for more detailed inspiration...

Hacking Any other luma3ds payloads other then GodMode9

Godmode9 is still used with fastboot3ds. It's just moved out of the luma/payloads directory and into gm9/payloads if you follow the fastboot3ds/Openfirminstaller instructions. And the great thing about fastboot3ds is you can put your payloads anywhere you want and set your boot slots up...

Hacking Any other luma3ds payloads other then GodMode9

For me, fastboot3ds is superior because it makes use of boot slots which are user configurable so say for instance you are on the latest version of Luma3ds (10.2) and you want to maybe mess around with some CTRPF plugins in .3gx form. You would need to use a modified, older version of Luma3ds...

    Hacking Why is this happening

^This. You need to hold the B button until it refreshes (a few seconds or so). It's not intuitive at all as it is not listed in the onscreen instructions as it should be, as there is plenty of space for it. Hopefully if it is ever updated again, the developer will add that. I too was confused by...

Hacking Any other luma3ds payloads other then GodMode9

You can simply make a copy of your current gm9 .firm in the luma payloads directory to get around the bug. Or as suggested by @BaamAlex and I completely second his recommendation... Switch from boot9strap to fastboot3ds as it is vastly superior!
