    Cool cool, I have no idea if this may be the issue with my AGB001 but I do have an aftermarket shell on it and bootleg carts and the super sd card dont fit flush with the case like an original game does.     My supercard is brand new so I didnt think it was that clean it anyway, my gameboy is ancient so I gave that a clean. No sram error but still garbage text. In regards to the first part how would I go about doing that to my roms?

    no luck your explanation makes sense too I imagine there is an increased power draw with these custom cartridges and things will act funny if they arent getting the voltage they want. Left it on for a few minutes, inserted the cart left it on a few minutes more, restarted a couple times still...
