    I got the console working by using this guide. http://hackmywii.net/the-unfuck-from-4-3-guide I still can't get discs to play though.

    The Wii is about 2 years old. I don't know what game she did the update from. She said there was a POP up and she hit the A button. She was probably playing a game from the HD. I don't have a bootmii in the root. There is aboot.elf and bootmini.elf

    Joostonline I renamed the boot.dol file in the USBLoader and USBLoader_cfg folders I also added the boot.elf files to them

    The channel say Configurable USB loader when that is launched then it has just cfg on the screen. that where i get the Custom IOS 249 is a stub error

    It says it can't find a file to open. I have the files from the Modmii on the SD card. I can get a copy of the original files tomorrow. Can I downgrade the console to 4.2?

    OK, I put it in the correct folder. I still get "Custom IOS 249 is a stub" error

    OK, I renamed the boot.dol file and I copied the boot.elf file from the COPY_TO_SD folder to the root of the SD card. When I launch the new usb-loader I got an IOS error.

    Now my problem is still the console can't read the retail disc. So I have no way of getting into the batcave.
