Hi All, I’m helping out a friend. He’s got a switch with serial number with Warning. If I try booting into RCM mode and inject Hekate. Will it brick the switch if it’s patched?
Thanks.
Agreed with Tinfoil. Personally I use it with Nut for network install. Somehow goldleaf and goldtree is very slow. Less than 15MB/s. Tinfoil doubles that easily.
my backup was 5.1.0 and that was the last time i online. After restored it recently, i online using 5.1.0 again. that will tally with nintendo's server.
since it is not possible to connect to nintendo server again using my old 5.1.0 backup. i would need to backup 8.1.0 as latest clean dump...
Now that my OFW is 8.1.0, but my NAND backup is still 5.1.0
if i ever need to restore the NAND and connect to nintendo server, it would detect a firmware difference. This leads to a ban correct?
Do I need to backup 8.1.0 sysNAND?
It works!!! Instead of installing the update from software update page. Just run a game and there will be an update button. Clicked on it and update installed within seconds. Restart and booted right into Hekate. Chose to boot into stock and checked firmware updated. Fuse count still the same...
I just re-read your previous reply. So I need to try boot up a game to initiate the update process. let me try.
Using the jig seems to be very dangerous
That is in preparation to boot into CFW (sysNAND).
If you don't go offline and boot into CFW sysNAND while online. Higher chance of getting detected.
During normal OFW operation can keep WiFi on.
I'm using CDJNX for emuNAND. I'm trying to update OFW while saving fuses. Thus I can't use CDJNX. I have downloaded the firmware from OFW and now booting into CFW to install the update with autoRCM on. But when I tried to install it is asking for internet connection.
