    In my experience, some DVD+R brands work and some DVD+R brands do not. I've never had a DVD-R not work though... they are 100% reliable (note that I also burn at 2.4x using CloneCD). Go to Wal*Mart, spend the $15 on some good DVD-R media and watch your worries float away...

    Does it still play originals??? If so, you wii is not screwed... you just screwed up on the install. If not, return the puppy and hopefully you can find a new one in the near future!

    My advice... use the wire install method and leave yourself plenty of extra wire! My buddy had a WiiKey installed for about 2 months and then it quit working on him. Popped the box open and found that it wasn't the solder point that failed, but the wire itself broke. Had plenty of extra wire...

    Hacking Wiikey slowdown?

    The BEST way is to simply burn all games at 2.4x in good media (DVD-R recommended... DVD+R works depending on the brand (Maxwell works good)) using CloneCD. I have never had an issue using this technique... NEVER.
