    Yes, luckily it is available in English, because it is of course much easier for a German with basic school English to translate a game from English to German than from Japanese to German. I hope someone can help me with the technical part of how to decode it

    OK, that makes sense, but how do I find out whether it is written in ASCII or Unicode? When I unpack the game data, there are, as I said, many text files in the folders, but what is in the text files is incomprehensible

    Yes, that's kind of the problem I have when there's a language selection screen when starting the game. It's obviously easy to tell which languages the ROM has, but without it it's quite difficult because then (in my case) German is automatically displayed or it runs in the set console language...

    So of course sometimes you can select the languages in the menu and often they are also in the Rome name so how can I find out if none of this is the case?
