How safe is it to buy a switch 2 used right now?

eBay has a money back guarantee. If the seller says the Switch 2 isn't banned and you receive it and it is, you can return it for a full refund. eBay sides with the buyer 99% of the time so the seller will be forced to take it back and they also have to pay for the return shipping.

Confront your own rights against Nintendo!

"Worse" is a matter of perspective. Banning only the console means you don't lose access to your digital purchases if you buy a new console. So at least you still have your games after some financial hit. But it is worse in the fact that you're now stuck selling a console with neutered...

Confront your own rights against Nintendo!

Not disagreeing with you on any of this, in fact see my previous post just before this. I firmly believe the hardware is yours and you can do whatever the eff you want with it. I also agree that any software license you purchased should remain yours unless your money is returned (grey area on...

Confront your own rights against Nintendo!

While I don't agree with it, Nintendo aren't the first ones where you lose your digital purchases when an account is banned and you lose access to an online storefront. Sony has been doing this for a long time and so far nobody has legally challenged them enough to get a case with a verdict. I...

Confront your own rights against Nintendo!

The OS is secured by DRM, and thus you can't just "do whatever you want with it" in Europe. Also, software can come with a license clearly stating what you can and cannot do with it. You also don't own the intellectual property and do not automatically gain redistribution rights, for example...

Confront your own rights against Nintendo!

By your logic, buying a movie, music or game would mean you could reuse and redistribute that for your own personal gain however you wanted. I know what you're trying to get at, but it doesn't work that way for digital software and you don't actually own that software unless the original...

Confront your own rights against Nintendo!

Not to defend Nintendo, but they aren't really legally vulnerable because you agreed to their terms that they are only licensing you the OS that runs on the device and that they can modify or revoke that use at any time they wish. The only thing you own anymore with a Nintendo console is the...

Homebrew RELEASE Tesla - The Nintendo Switch Overlay Menu

I can confirm that the 1.0.5 hotfix for nx-ovlloader posted a few hours ago fixes the crash when there are a lot of cheats for a particular game.

Homebrew RELEASE Tesla - The Nintendo Switch Overlay Menu

Can confirm the same with all 3 updated to latest. Worked fine before on 9.2, now on 10.0 crashes for Animal Crossing and Pokemon Shield (bunch of cheats), works fine for Pokemon Mystery Dungeon (only a few cheats). I don't want to mess around with my cheat files and don't need them for those...

Homebrew [Tutorial] Setting up Pegaswitch and Preparing for Homebrew

Yep, same. This is an Ubuntu VM running in VMWare with a fairly barebones install except some packages to compile android kernels. I doubt I'm actually using the port for anything. auto xxxxxx@Ubuntu:~/pegaswitch$ netstat -vanp tcp | grep 53 (Not all processes could be identified, non-owned...

Homebrew Retroarch Emulation Thread (Nightly Builds Included)

The main thing ARM9LoaderHax will bring is much faster boot times (same as stock), and 100% success rate.

Homebrew Retroarch Emulation Thread (Nightly Builds Included)

Has anyone gotten gPSP working with cheats? mGBA won't run Metroid Fusion at full speed, even on n3DS.

Homebrew Retroarch Emulation Thread (Nightly Builds Included)

Some have worked for me, some haven't. NES definitely worked. GBA didn't. You can put the .cht files where ever you want. You load the file when you go to enable cheats.

Homebrew Retroarch Emulation Thread (Nightly Builds Included)

I think it'll be about as stable as every other nightly that freezes as soon as you try to load content. :-)
